Bandwidth Hacks: Save bandwidth usage for limited internet connection

Though there are lot of plans offered by several Internet Service Providers from which many ends with the Unlimited Internet Usage but still there are a lot of us who still prefer their monthly packaged plan. Being stick with such plans it is very common for any month that the bandwidth allowed would finishes up so what to do?

There are only simple steps through which you can simply turn off the extra unnecessary usage that runs in the background. So what are those

Windows Automatic Updates: This is by default is automatically on by the windows installation though it helps in increasing Internet security. But, this online security proves costly when you have the limited bandwidth considered. So turning windows automatic updates can help to save a lot of Bandwidth usage of Internet Broadband and thus saving your data surfing.

To turn on Windows Automatic update, Go to Control Panel -> Windows Update. In sidebar, click “Change settings”. In new dialog box, click on “Never check for updates” and hit OK.

Firefox Updates, Firefox browser updates itself frequently. So, it is better to turn it off. You can do this from Tools -> Options and using “advanced” tab and then “update” tab.

# Adobe Reader and Adobe Flash player are similar example whose update needs to be stopped to save  bandwidth. Similar other services need to be operated to stop their update.

Though there are also other application which automatically looks for the updates whenever they get an online connection you should manually check for whatever an application its automatic updates disable.

I hope by applying the some of the above trick you can save a lot of your bandwidth usage for further surfing and thus reducing your online billing burden.
