How to Disable Automatic Updates Reminders? Restart Now or Later warning Message


Updating your computer is almost complete. You must restart your computer for the updates to take effect.
Do you want to restart your computer now?

The above mentioned message is one to the most irritating message… which Microsoft should look… as nothing can be worse if you are in the middle of a very important job and this comes very often… even clicking on Restart Later is also of no use as on every 1o minutes it start poping up the message.


So if you also like me, hates such message very much then here is the best solution which will make you happy…

You can control this message via Gpedit.msc, follow the instruction as given below:

Step 1. Click Start, Run, enter gpedit.msc, then click OK.

Step 2. In the window that opens, click the plus signs in the left pane to navigate to the following folder, then select that folder:

Computer Configuration \ Administrative Template \ Windows Components \ Windows Update

Step 3. In the right pane, right-click No auto-restart for scheduled Automatic Updates installations, then click Properties. In the Properties dialog box that appears, select Enabled, then click OK and close the Group Policy Editor window.

After the successful completion, you will not get this irritating message again…
