Unlock Hidden themes in Windows 7: No Download Required

Though there were many Windows 7 themes you can download from Internet but do you know windows 7 already have several themes incorporated with in the installation but I don’t know why; but they are locked or hidden by default.

So if you also want to unhide these hidden folders and want to save few more windows themes in the list then only follow the  simple steps given below. Actually here I will tell you the location and how to unhide the hidden folder where these are saved.

Follow only the Given Steps:

1. Open Windows Explorer, go to Organize tab and then click on “folder and search options”. In the view tab, if “Show hidden files, folders and drives” option is not checked then check it and the option of “Hide protected Operating System Files” as unchecked.

2. Now either go to the folder or type in the Run box C:\Windows\Globalization\MCT.

3. Here you will find some six folders each having a hidden theme inside.

4. Go to Theme folder inside all the folders listed above, and double click on the theme file. The .theme file will save itself in the Personalization window permanently.
